𐰽𐰀𐰴-
sa:k-
Meaning:
to think, to consider
Replaced at an early date by its own derivative sakın-.
Clauson (1972) tentatively derives sak- from sa:- ‘to count’, interpreting final -k- as an emphatic stem extension (thus, putting this word in the same word family with sān , sāna- sat- and others). No productive Old Turkic deverbal suffix -k- with this function can be established, so the analysis remains speculative.
